Working within a sensitive heritage and lakeside setting, our scope focused on the implementation of the landscape works, including the planting of trees, shrubs, groundcovers and turf across a range of garden spaces, recreational areas and supporting facilities. Planting works extended across key areas including the Bamboo Grove and Waterfall, Cascading Creek, Edible Garden, Water Wall Court, Stoneboat and Tea Pavilion, as well as the surrounding landscape of the Amphitheatre, skatepark and substation areas.
Particular attention was given to planting quality, species placement, soil preparation, turf establishment and finishing standards to achieve a healthy and cohesive landscape upon completion. The planting strategy also supports the Gardens’ broader ecological objectives by introducing diverse vegetation and habitat opportunities within the urban environment.
Trees and shrub planting were established to frame pathways, define spaces and strengthen the garden’s layered tropical character, while turf areas provided functional and visually continuous green spaces for recreation and community use.
Through precise landscape installation, careful coordination and attention to horticultural quality, our team contributed to the successful delivery of one of Singapore’s significant public landscape projects — bringing together heritage, nature, recreation and sustainable urban landscape principles within Jurong Lake Gardens.
