Our team was responsible for the landscape construction works across these areas, including tree and shrub planting, turf installation, fire engine access turfing and the implementation of ABC Waters landscape features. The works required careful coordination between planting, drainage, levels and the existing site conditions to achieve a functional and well-established landscape.
Landscape Construction & Planting Works
The landscape works began with site preparation, setting out and ground formation, followed by soil preparation and planting installation. Trees and shrubs were planted along the site perimeter and within communal landscape areas to establish a continuous green buffer around the residential development.
Turf was installed across the communal park and fire engine access areas, providing functional green surfaces while maintaining the required access and site performance. Planting works were carefully coordinated with surrounding hardscape, drainage and building interfaces to achieve consistent levels, finishes and planting quality.
ABC Rain Garden
A key component of the project was the implementation of the ABC Waters rain garden adjacent to the residential communal park. Our scope included the preparation of formation levels and ground conditions, followed by the installation of the required ABC components, including geotextile, liners, drainage pipes and soil media. These elements were carefully coordinated according to the site’s hydrological flow and drainage requirements.
Planting within the rain garden was subsequently carried out to establish a functional vegetated system capable of receiving and managing stormwater while contributing to the overall landscape character.
The rain garden was progressively inspected and tested throughout the construction process to verify drainage performance, water movement and the effectiveness of the completed system. This close attention to installation and testing ensured that the rain garden was delivered as a functioning landscape infrastructure rather than simply a planted feature.
